This is the position group that hard-capped Wilcox's ceiling here and will doom Tosh if it doesn't get fixed. Recruiting should help, but 9 straight years of horrific OL play tells me the problem is S+C. That's for RR and his bosses to fix ($$$), fingers crossed. If I see one more G5/FCS team stuff us on 4th and 1...
I want to say that the raw ceiling of the talent got better and I do think the floor raised a little but since the OL is a weak link system it just takes one of the new pieces to end up in around his 25th percentile of outcomes to make the whole thing fall apart.
Also a little scary is the unknown that is the OC Somerville. If this unit becomes a major weakness again, how well will he scheme and play call around it?
if it becomes a major weakness again we will have stellar RB but no way to open holes and a stellar QB but he'll be scrambling for his life. Seen this movie too many times in the last decade

Piotr Le plays football chess while I’m a lifelong checkers dude. I grasp some of what he says and illustrates, which makes each season incrementally more interesting than the one before. Thank you.

When will you have the defense covered.
As a former ILB coach at Chico State,(that's how old I am) I'm naturally worried about that position. It's the heart of the Defense,
Would you say our talent here is worse or better than last year?

Dogone it, we gotta have better performance from the big men on the line this year. Go bears!
