Cal fans, help us beat Stanford fans in the EDSBS Charity Bowl!

Come on Cal fans, we're $8000 behind!

One of our favorite things the Cal community does every year is participate in the Charitibund Bowl. College football fans might know it better as the EDSBS Charity Bowl.

This is a charity drive set up by our college football blog friends over at the Shutdown Fullcast podcast, who you might remember as the old Everyday Should Be Saturday crew from the old SB Nation days.

The proceeds go to New American Pathways, whose mission is to help refugees resettle in Georgia where the charity is located. Hundreds of refugees from Afghanistan, Ukraine, Haiti, Cuba, Venezuela, Burma, Syria, Somalia, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and so many other countries have found roots here as a result of the money raised from this charity drive, and already $750,000+ has been raised!

But the big way the charity drive gets it juice is by marking your donation by the school you root for.

And while we have raised over $9000 to move into 17th place overall, currently we are trailing Stanford fans by $8500, most likely thanks to one very nice rich Tree. Very cool for the charity drive, but NOOOOOOO for us!

Normally, our Cal community shows out does fairly well! Cal finished 9th last year! So there is definitely juice out there. I believe in you all.
