Given the fact that field hockey players (a couple of extra defenders) get to wear extra protection (corner masks or just goggles) on penalty corners, I don't think relying on field players diving to make field block is the safest thing to do for a long season.

I'm fascinated by the strategy of playing up a player instead of playing a goalie, and only losing 1-0. Should more teams be trying this?
