Interesting line in Remigio’s interview - Chase having “more authority on what he wants to run.” Whatever that could mean

Also when it comes to calling audibles. It signifies trust between OC and QB to let him make the adjustments. I am curious about who calls out protections as well.

The fact that we don’t even need Terry this year!! Like Tonges, Moore, and Reinwald are all fine players. If he’s seeing playtime in the fall, it means he’s showing out at practice like this consistently!

New formation: O-line, Garbers, Brooks, and four tight ends.

Honestly, that would work, have Reinwald at FB, run a 23 that has the flexibility to go 3 wide. And bludgeon opponents with no huddle mixins between heavy set runs and passes.

Nothing to worry about re: Garbers. If this is still happening by the time I get up there (the 21st), I’ll be concerned. But he and the receivers have had two years now to digest this system/get better.

If Orin Patu is flashing despite being the backup (and let’s be honest, there’s no way he’s supplanting Deng or Goode), that speaks volumes about our depth at outside

100. We need a shorter drop off between the starters and backups. And this might start to give us that.

Ieremia Ieremia! The dude has played less games of football than I have fingers on one hand. And his body is NFL-ready!

I can't thank you enough Rob. It's literally like water in the desert. I'm eager for news on that new receive from Texas whose name I'm forgetting. Tall and fast guy. Go Bears!

J.Mike. He was fully a participant. Not much in terms of showing today. But it’s day 1. He is very good at getting separation tho.

What's everyone's thoughts on the # of wins this year? Are y'all doing the usual preseason polls with stddev and all?

From what is known, I see no games in the schedule that the Bears 'should' lose. Both WA and OR have big question marks. U$C has medium size question marks.

Since its not CBJ anymore I'm gonna call him CB-née-J. Mores swing passes or wheel routes to him this year! Also looking forward to the continued development of Damien Moore, who looked like a feature back in the making as a true freshman (granted limited action in an abbreviated season)

i also really like millner playing with guys like baker (and i'm assuming that it's a similar unit to hunter, sturdivant, terry, etc.) these are the guys who millner is going to be throwing to for the next four years - garbers has crawford and remigio, but getting millner to work on his guys now is gonna pay huge chemistry dividends in years to come (also this is really late night thoughts lmao)

If you want an insane comparison to what Cal could be setting up for next year, just look at Alabama this year - sure, Bryce Young is only a redshirt freshman, but his X-receiver and TE were both 2nd unit last year and practiced daily with Young

I have more faith that they will "Finish The Job" this year than at any other time since 1956 (my first Cal game at Memorial at 10 years of age). One question, anyone know what's happened to kencraw who ran the "Excuse Me For My Voice" forum? Thanks!

So is JT a svelte 270lbs, or did he lose some weight?

I bet he's closer to 260 than 270 but he carries weight very well. I feel bad for whatever DB has to face him in run blocks.
