The Pac-12 Network announced the 2022 Cal schedule a few minutes ago. The list of games is below. Cal will have seven in Memorial, five on the road.
Home games are bolded.
September 3: UC Davis Aggies. This will not be an easy game. UC Davis made the FCS playoffs last year.
September 10: UNLV Runninā Rebels. This SHOULD be an easier game. UNLV
September 17: at Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Notre Dame nearly made the playoff this year and will be debuting a new head coach in Marcus Freeman. The Fiesta Bowl against Oklahoma State will be worth checking out.
September 24: Arizona Wildcats. This has to be the year the futility ends against Arizona, right? Cal has not beaten Arizona since 2009.
October 1: at Washington State Cougars. Cal struggled the most on offense against Wazzu last season. How will they handle Jake Dickert taking the full reins?
October 8: BYE.
October 15: at Colorado Buffaloes. Our most winnable road game, Cal held Colorado to three points in its first Pac-12 victory last year.
October 22: Washington Huskies. Cal will meet the Kalen DeBoer offense for the first time.
October 29: Oregon Ducks. Cal will have its first encounter with Dan Lanning in what Iām sure will be a game in which the TV announcers donāt talk about Justin Wilcox and Oregon 50 times.
November 5: at USC Trojans. Time to meet Lincoln Riley and have a bunch of random Oklahoma fans rooting us on.
November 12: at Oregon State Beavers. Oregon State came one game away from challenging for the Pac-12 North crown. This was Calās most quality win of 2021.
November 19: Stanford Cardinal. David Shaw is back, so thatās fun. Cal has a chance to retain the Axe at home for the first time since 2008.
November 25 (Friday): UCLA Bruins. Cal has really struggled against UCLA in the Justin Wilcox era, with now two straight blowouts. Big Joe Roth game ahead.
Avoiding November trips to the Palouse and Boulder? Sounds good to me!
Jack Plummer QB from Purdue transfers to Cal!!
