The California Golden Bears now know what their final schedule of the Pac-12 era will look like! Cal will have a six home game, six road game slate. They’ll have an SEC matchup with Auburn. They’ll flip Arizona and Colorado for Arizona State and two-time defending Pac-12 champion Utah.
September 2: at North Texas Mean Green
September 9: Auburn Tigers
September 16: Idaho Vandals
September 23: at Washington Huskies
September 30: Arizona State Sun Devils
October 7: Oregon State Beavers
October 14: at Utah Utes
October 21: Bye week
October 28: USC Trojans
November 4: at Oregon Ducks
November 11: Washington State Cougars
November 18: at Stanford Cardinal (126th Big Game)
November 25: at UCLA Bruins
Considering Cal will play seven Pac-12 teams that won nine games or more this past season, this schedule is a bit more manageable than expected with a bye week at the proper time and an occasional easier opponent sandwiched in between the tough games. The USC/Oregon back-to-back will be a gauntlet, but otherwise the Bears should have their chances.
What are your thoughts on the schedule?
Everyone is so pessimistic here, makes me wonder why y’all waste your time then.
More transfers incoming in Spring. We have a lot of depth in most positions except QB and OL (which should be addressed spring).
Arguably our defense should be stronger than last year with all the injury returns and new additions.
Our offense sees an overloaded RB room, an upgraded TE room, and new coaching (which arguably should be an improvement and with it improve OL).
We WILL go bowling next year. In 2024 with momentum, with USC/UCLA out, with USC/Oregon/Utah/UW without their bazillion year quarterbacks and players. WE WILL WIN THE PAC10.
Now drink the cool aid or gtfo.
The pessimism is so bad here. It's low key sad. I question if some of you are rooting against Wilcox and co
We were a few plays away (FG kicks against CU, DTR fumble recovery, and phantom offsides vs ND) from being bowl eligible. Cal got better and a good portion of y'all do nothing but complain. This also applies to half the donors who have the capital to donate to our NIL program but do nothing but complain and drink chardonnay at the games
