Cal has added its second QB to the 2026 class, this time in St. Louis High School’s Nainoa Lopes. The QB from Honolulu stands tall at 6-4.5 and 180 pounds.
The 3-star QB is ranked as the 108th best QB in the class and the 19th best prospect from the state of Hawaii. Lopes held offers from San Jose State, Arizona Christian, Florida Atlantic and UAB. He becomes the 19th commitment and 4th from the state of Hawaii in the 2026 class.
Welcome to Berkeley, Nainoa!
Same HS as the most recent OL commit so assume there's a connection there. And, with Jaron, is our second Hawaiian QB. Here's hoping that the Ohana keeps everyone happy together in Berkeley!
loving the Hawaii surge. This could be a great way to establish relationships with these schools. I also imagine once a team hits critical mass of Hawaiian players, others will be more inclined to come!
