It’s all but officially confirmed that the marching band is moving to QQ. The bandsmen know it is happening, and the athletic department ticket reps have been saying it (early) to customers.
Finally! Oh my golly, Finally! I've been waiting and hoping for this my entire Cal life. Since my first games back in 1987 I've thought of how stupid it is that we make our team sit on the hot sunny side and let the opponent sit in the shade. I'm absolutely thrilled for this change. Move the team into the shade, let the students heckle the opponents. It's perfect. I love it. Hooray!
Huge change and I good one for the team. The 49ers originally were going to sit in the sun at Levi Stadium but Jim Harbaugh nixed it and put them in the shade. Great move! The autumn sun is brutal.
This could be a good move because A) Closer to the opposing team means that Cal students can really shout and hopefully disrupt play calls and B) More shade on the west side of the stadium. I remember a few times in the student section when the sun was just BRUTAL! Now that I am an Old Blue, I need the shade more than ever.
Something else I wonder: With the move to the ACC, will the victory cannon move back into the stadium? That's where it was - on the east side south of the team area - from 1964-1970 before the-then Pacific-8 Conference banned cannons in member stadia in 1971 (following an injury accident involving the Stanford cannon in 1970). It was moved up to Tightwad Hill in 1973 and has been there ever since.

Time to increase the season over/under by 0.5 games
LOL. Look out ACC.
Fantastic! I now officially drop all my qualms about he ACC (...well, sort of). GO BEARS, beat them from the shade!

Wow! I just NEVER know what’s gonna be the next WFC Headline! I NEVER would have predicted this, but I love it!!!!!!
Wow. Don’t disagree with this change, but this season is going to be weird.

Will Bob Tuck know which side to hang from the flagpole and lead the California spell out?

Holy shit, I've been calling for this for years!! No more sun in the players and coach's faces.
As a former longtime resident of Section I and fairly new arrival to Section H, I approve of this change. 😁
As the late Rík Ocasek once said, “Shake it up!”
Great move.
Makes sense!
