What was wrong with "jet" Thomas? Did he have the flu also?

The supposed injection of new "talent" was questionable. Sure we got some real speed at WR and LB but without good "talent" coming in to the O line and DB we were a sub par team talent wise. It's as simple as that. We were not as good as other teams talent wise. Also, the O and D coordinators in my opinion, were lacking in variety and aggressive play calling. There has to be a change in those two positions!

Yeah, I went to the game. I kept telling my SMU friends that I thought Wilcox was giving CR the start because he's from Texas. But when I learned Nando was out, I knew it was a wrap.

I was there too and thought the same.

Anybody know what the mystery illness was that kept all of the players out?

Ha,ha. I guess we will find out in the next two weeks!

How about we stop spending NIL on skill players? All trench workers all the time. That strategy even got a bozo like Bryce Love drafted.

Seriously. I’d even go for throwing some $$$ at a dedicated OL coach that can actually work with the guys in-game, maybe, I dunno, make some adjustments…

NO ONE thought having your inexperienced play caller pull double duty was a good idea, except Wilcox. Meanwhile we have multiple secondary coaches, despite the fact that our HC was a DB.

Wykoff announced he is going to transfer. He's a grad transfer so it's a bit different, but expect to hear many more announcements

Fear it’s gonna be ugly.

It was another very disappointing game. It was really over in the first five minutes of the game. The defense which was once promising has not looked good for awhile. Again the offensive coordinator is just awful. You can’t go ultra conservative just because you have a different QB. Going up the middle for a run on 3rd and long shows you what the OC is thinking, he gets an F again.

Bloesch really doesn’t seem to understand college offense.

Bear pains continue another year, as our very talented lads get outcoached game in and game out. Our student athletes deserve better coaching - and a staff that will not accept 6-6 and continued losing to winning programs. There is no coulda, woulda, shoulda to the 2024 season. The Golden Bears need a change now, even before we get invited to the Tidy Bowl again. Go Bears Forever!

It's not going to happen. $$$$ wise.

Despite another mediocre season, Justin Wilcox will receive the following bonuses for his performance this season:

â–º$25,000: Win over Stanford

â–º$25,000: Sixth regular season win

â–º$40,000: Sixth win, eligible for non-CFP bowl game

Mediocrity pays and is rewarded at Cal.

Crazy that he gets paid $65K just for 6 wins, which for most programs is barely good enough to keep your job

A 6-6 Season should NOT be good enough for ANY Bowl Game. If a Bowl needs 6-6 teams to play, that Bowl shouldn’t be.

I thought CJ Harris showed some potential. Ultimately there was no life to the offense particularly the running game. Quick defeat. But SMU sleepwalked through most of the 2nd and 3rd quarters so I thought if the Bears could just find a spark they could get into the game. But alas no dice.

Need coaching changes, the offense line the last two years to many sacks and TFL’s

I saw Fernando was out and immediately made a tee time. Apparently the coaching staff took a similar approach.

For 2.5 of the past 3 games, the team has looked listless, disinterested and unprepared in largely non-competitive performances. Almost as if they’ve mailed it in and are just going through the motions. Hopefully the program can avoid some impactful portal losses and bowl opt outs in the next few weeks, but besides 98 yards with the boys, the fire and toughness are missing.
