I'll say again, in Wilcox I trust. He knows better than us what he needs, and what Tui brought. Tui was moved around as a coach because he wasn't solid doing it. We've added recruiting in our new defensive coach, and I'm sure Wilcox and Musgrave will want a hire that is younger and relates well to the high school kids. Wish Tui the best, he was a good Bear.

Fantasy land thought--Is there any possibility that we could convince Tony Gonzalez to come back to CAL to coach Tight Ends. He knows a "little something" about the position, is a CAL alum, would be an entry to coaching if he is so inclined, etc. It's good to dream big

There's some relief here.

Over the years I lost respect for Tui as a coach. I don't think there's much disagreement that he's a capable recruiter, but his skills as a position coach were a concern - especially at the QB position.

He's done a solid job with the TEs and that's great. I think it's a great opportunity for him to move on (and up) in his career and wish him well.

Losing our two best recruiters hurt.

Well we still have Charlie Ragle....

Oh that's true. So let's move Eagle back to TE coach and hire a good ST coordinator

I mean, the steady supply of 3* talent from the Valley of the Sun will help get us over the hump....

It will be tougher to dominate without the steady stream of four and five star student athletes, to which we have become accustomed.
