Cal Football FB Drew Schlegel to grad transfer

Cal fullback Drew Schlegel has elected to enter the transfer portal as a grad transfer following his one year in Berkeley.

Fullback Drew Schlegel, who signed with Kentucky before transferring to Cal, has entered the portal as a grad transfer; played in 4 games this fall in his only season at Cal @rivalsmike @RivalsWoody @CalRivals

Schlegel transferred to Cal after spending 3 years at Kentucky. He played in all 4 of Cal’s games this season as the starting fullback, with 2 catches for 14 yards on the season.

With the COVID-19 eligibility rules coming into play, he was eligible to play this season as a transfer without losing eligibility and would now be able to play right away at his next stop as a grad transfer.
