Fantastic pick up. Taggart is listed at 6'1" 230 lbs @ BYU - but he looks shorter and thinner - and that's not a bad thing. He's quite quick (but not necessarily fast over longer distances) and remains athletic to be able to be effective in pass coverage.
He is a technician of an ILB. He's less likely to try to jump into hole and put himself out of position. He's a read/trail/scrape type that is going to clean up a ton of tackles on plays blown-up/redirected by Uluave.
On another note, Cal getting the top WR and top ILB and barely missing on the top RB in the portal is pretty impressive. I don't know what Cal's coaching staff spiel is on official visits, but whatever they are saying is working.
Two OL plus WR and RB. We've been filling up all the open positions, we're currently one roster spot short of last year but we had like 8 running backs on the payroll last year. I'd love another OL.
This pickup was critical. Losing Barth left us with a big "?" next to Uluave at ILB. With the other ILB's we picked up we have some depth there. This is the most important position on defense. Of course I'm prejudiced since this is the position I coached in my college coaching stint.

It's called..$$$$
Money that’s no longer being spent on all our good players from last year
Which top portal RB did we miss on? I probably missed it

Ah man, Charmar Brown, would have been a great addition. I think we still need another RB from the portal. Thanks for sharing.
On the one hand, we lost a lot of good players.
On the other hand, we seem to be attracting solid players.
I have no idea what to expect this season, which is probably better than unrealistically high expectations that usually crash.
Can’t wait to open our box of chocolates this year (along with an ample supply of beer) to see if it’s any good.
The incoming talent seems to be leaning on defense so I wanna see more skill players on offense
True except two solid pickups on the most critical position on the offense.
Two OL guys?

Winning! RR is saying, "Do you hear me now?" ;-)
Whew well, Taggart sure shores up the LB room. Right on! Keep adding talent.

Great pickup!
Finally some good news
