He is a good athlete but he's not all that fast. He ran an 11.35 in the 100 m - dash. I'm not sure what that translate to in the 40 yd dash, But I know it's probably somewhere between 4.4 and 4.6. The Scouting report says he lacked explosiveness, but maybe our coaching staff can unlock his talent.
I never thought we could potentially end up as beneficiaries of the shift toward NIL and the portal, but it seems like this sort of thing may actually redound to our favor. Kudos to everyone who stepped up (I gave what little I could but it’ll be more next year) and to the coaches for figuring out how to operate in this environment.
Go Bears! Welcome to the Bear family young man. Sure seems we have a strong and stronger WR room than last year. I agree it's still and always about the O and D lines, but you still need a Keenan Allen to take advantage of it. Desean Jackson didn't need much time to get open...
Heavily recruited out of HS. If he's healthy, he can be a real problem for defenses. Not the tallest guy but he's quick and can get open. Mendoza doesn't have the strongest arm so we need guys like that. tOSU is deep at WR so it's obvious that someone with his talent would look for a place to perform.
Good QB's and great receivers. Now if we can get some more O linemen to protect the QB's and give them time to find the receivers who are open or about to uncover.
I'm thinking these guys like what they see in Mendoza
Our current 2024 transfer ranking at 247 Sports is #14! Ahead of Missouri, Georgia, OU, USC. Impressive - Roll on you BEARS!
