Shaw was a 4* top 40 RB in high school who had both injuries and the misfortune of backing up Taylor at Wisconsin. I suspect he’ll get a whole lot of reps.
I do lowkey worry about an embarassment of riches at the rb spot, especially within the regard of playing time. With Brown there for 2 more seasons at the helm I do think guys like Brooks and one of the freshman will transfer unfortunately due to a lack of playing time.
I hope we don't see any transfers but historically it has been pretty common amongst the RB's who aren't moving up the depth chart. Zion Echols and Melquise Stovall, who was a high school All-American, both transferred within the past couple of years.
Are you thinking of someone like Billy McCrary or Biaggio Ali Walsh? Stovall played receiver for us while getting plenty of playtime as a true freshman.
Ok, Schlegel has got to be about the most transparent and likable interview I've seen in a very long time! Go Drew! No pretense, or self conscious postering. The dude is just himself. Don't know what kind of player or impact he will have, but I'm gonna root for him big time. Love that part at the end when he points out having "Berkeley" on a piece of paper makes all the difference. All of us alumni know that to be true.
I'm looking forward to more I-formations this year

Well yeah those guys too. I recall Stovall playing before transferring to Hawaii.
Depth chart wasn't an issue for him, though, IIRC. Stovall was doing well for us and the transfer came as a result of the HC change.
We also lost Johnny Adams and Derrick Clark at end of 2018 season along with Baggio Ali Walsh. I had high hopes for Adams.
