According to FootballScoop.com, Cal is hiring Brian Johnson from Butch Jones’ staff at Arkansas State. Johnson was named a part of the staff just this past December, but has now reportedly decided to make his way out west. He was last a part of Kevin Sumlin’s staff at Arizona and overlapped with current Cal DB coach Marcel Yates. Johnson also has experience coaching at the NFL level along with stops at other power 5 schools like LSU.
