After the departures of Jack Plummer and Kai Millner, it was clear the Bears would dip into the transfer portal to add to the QB room. After weeks of speculation, the Bears finally have added a QB to the roster in former TCU QB Sam Jackson.
Jackson was a 4-star QB in the 2021 class and was ranked as the 32nd best QB in the class, and the 13th best Dual Threat QB in the class. He was also rated as the best QB prospect in the state of Illinois. The 6-foot QB from Naperville, Illinois was the backup to Max Duggan this season after the injury to Chandler Morris moved everyone up the depth chart. Jackson played in 6 games over two years at TCU, with 4 coming this season. He scored 2 rushing touchdowns on 9 carries for 64 yards in 2022. He was also 5/5 for 63 yards through the air with no touchdowns and interceptions.
Welcome to Berkeley, Sam.
Told y’all to stay frosty
This is great news on name alone.
