I think there are some coaches that are very good tacticians but need somebody to distill it down for the players. Wondering if Sirmon falls in that camp...
Oy vey, he sounds really lost as a coordinator. It sounds like Wilcox sent him to some kind of leadership clinic or gave him some books to read and he's desperately trying to do and recite what he learned.
I've mostly been dissatisfied with his results, and taken other people's word for it that he needs to go... and after this interview, I see why.

I'll never fault someone for doing what you're saying, which is he noticed a gap and is trying to improve himself.
