I totally understand why Cal did not seem to allow tackling our QB's, to avoid them getting hurt, but that rule did seem to allow viewers to see if Garbers was better at avoiding the rush, something I believe he was not good at during the shortened 2020 season. Similar to the problem that likely was a factor for Goff to recently be traded. For some reason, Aaron Rodgers, who is not really that mobile, seems to have a good knack in avoiding the rush, though not at the Mahomes level.
The other major problem Garbers has had is on deep passes, but he looked good on the few of those he threw yesterday, or at least the ones I saw.
TV broadcast had too much general talking and not enough about who was quarterbacking or running the ball. Garbers could be picked out by just looking at the screen but not the running backs other than Brown (he is much bigger than the other backs).
Pleased with all 3 qbs. Garbers is a known commodity, Johnson and Rowell looked solid. Chase going down at some point is, dare I say, probable, so having these guys ready to go is comforting.
I hope Terry is OK. He limped off the field after a hit to his legs on a TE screen pass. Also, nice touch with the players saluting those folks who showed up on tightwad hill after the scrimmage.

The last three commercials were for the pac12 network. Probably a bad sign for the pac12 network.
Nice to see Wilcox smiling a bit for a change
Bears cannot lose!

Beau Baldwin and Cal Poly SLO down 42-10 at UC Davis in the 2Q
When is the game starting...
Hope that the "winningest qb" ditty continues this coming season though its recent utility is becoming moot without refreshment.
GO!
Go Bears!
