According to OC Bill Musgrave this group of Wide Receivers has the chance to usher in a new Golden Era of Wide Receivers at Cal. He name-dropped DeSean Jackson, Keenan Allen, Brian Treggs among others when comparing the group to some of the best to ever play the position at Memorial Stadium. And if Wednesday’s practice is anything to go off of, it certainly looks to be the case.
The Receivers were on full display with one-handed grabs, touchdowns, double moves, high point catches, toe taps, and everything else from that position. Even a monster block thrown by Monroe Young on an outside run. Jeremiah Hunter had a stellar one-handed grab. J.Michael Sturdivant with insane separation and finishes to complete the catch. He had the nicest touchdown of the day connecting on a pass from Jack Plummer, 45 yards through the air and finishing with a 5-yard run into the endzone.
