"Johnson put up the best passing numbers of the four quarterbacks in the scrimmage, completing 14-of-16 passes for 151 yards and the five touchdowns. Rowell was 6-of-9 for 81 yards and his three scores, while Garbers was 7-of-17 for 35 yards and one interception, and Spencer Brasch finished 1-of-3 for 29 yards."
Hopefully there is some drama. We need it because that position needs to be significantly improved. If it is truly open competition than I for one am all for it.
For some reason I read the words Cal Dining and my thoughts turn to Late Night Cheese Sticks. Gained 10 pounds alone on that Thursday night homework run.
Thanks much. Am I correct in assuming the scrimmage today will be closed? As for games in the Fall, there is such a very high chance that stadium will be at least half full. If we are mostly done with vaccinations by June, then September is a new deal. By then the disease would restricted mostly to anti-vaxxers and those unable to get it. I have no pity for the anti-vaxxers. If I were evil and magical I would put them back in time to get smallpox, polio and the Mumps, just for starters.
I've always watched all the available interviews and such on Youtube and yes, that's how much I care. What I miss is what the players and coaches don't tell you but the Avinash's and Nam Le's do!
Sounds like there will be attendance at Memorial in the Fall. The Colosseum is allowing 20% capacity as per the new Alameda County restrictions, depends on what Berkeley does I guess.
I've had several calls from Cal Athletics urging me to make a deposit on season tickets for 2021. Now that it looks like there might be an in-person season it makes it worthwhile again.
Thank you for the write-up, Owen. While TE is rarely an instant-impact position at either the NCAA/NFL levels, here’s hoping Musgrave finds creative ways to use Jermaine Terry...
Just read a recap of the practice/scrimmage - Looks like Zach Johnson impressed.

From CalBears.com. QB drama?

Same goes for OL.
yeah his numbers and Rowell's looked really good. Chase was less than 50% completion and only a few yards.

Yes, it was closed. I'll put up a summary as best I can tomorrow morning.
How can you summarize if it was closed to viewing?
The press conferences and social media clippings. There's not much else we can rely on at this point.

I'm as optimistic as anyone can be, knowing what we know. It's got me debating whether to upgrade to season tickets or not.

Or non-creative, run down the middle and catch the ball and run over a few guys ways! OMG he’s huge!
Yeah, I'm fine with non-creative typical TE usage that we have seen numerous times over and over again against us.
I KNOW! I feel like UCLA and UW built their programs on big TEs clobbering us!!!!
