Their DL has been lacking for years so it's refreshing to see them restock the position - keeping them on the field will be key. The better the DL the better everyone behind them. Go Bears!

any idea what base defense we may play?

I've tried asking that same question for a month now & haven't been able to get an answer. I prefer 3-4 but don't think they have the personnel to implement it. TBH, I'll be satisfied with a DL that gets consistent pressure & sacks and big bodies plugging the middle, closing it off to big runs. I long for a DL like we had with Cam Jordan & Tysun Alualu.

Since the spring transfer portal window was eliminated, at this point shouldn't all players who didn't transfer in the Jan window be considered "confirmed returning"?

It makes me nervous not having JKS listed as returning ... ?

I’d be interested to see if the addition’s since Nick’s transfer recap was written have changed the outlook on any of the position groups.

Depth at the line is so important, rotating fresh players with out a drop off is key, good pick up

Getting D linemen just adds to the expectations of having a really good defense. You know the old saying among coaches, "Offense wins games, Defense wins championships". Well it's usually right on.
