True, but if these guys and the O-line can deliver, I will miss him a lot less ;-)

One of the best prospects out of HS in '21 with aTm. That's dimmed somewhat (we flipped him from Rice) but, if our OL is indeed better, he can get downhill and move the chains. Look at us, stealing from our #2 conference rival!

Who will be RB1 and 2? No idea. Gotta wait for fall camp, but I think he may be a (ahem) front-runner for a spot.

BIG addition! 3 good backs, spread the wealth. I think a couple of them may have more power to gain those 1-2 yards on 4th down we never get.

I don't have the answer but I want to piggyback and ask, who has the best speed?

I can't find too many measurables on a free site. I believe they all ran track in HS and I found their 100m measurables. It looks like High may be the fastest, but comparisons may not reflect current ability/physique, style, or football speed.

The high school PRs I found:

High 10.67

Johnson 11.3

Raphael 11.39

League 11.20

Wiley 11.1

Chapman 11.10

The 11's are high 4.6 to 4.7 guys...High 4.4 and LJ Johnson is a confirmed 4.4

Just looked and, yup, I see LJ Johnson at 4.33?!

I loved Ott and Jet and our other backs, but we did pull in some respectable talent.

Thank you for looking up.

Good pickup. Seems like all of our backs now are big physical types. Here's hoping our line can create a push upfront to give these guys some room to get going.

You can't replace what Cal has lost, But the quicker they can identify who the starting running back is the better. This guy seems like he should get the first crack because he has the most experience over all the other backs.

Always surprised me how often Ott was stuffed in the backfield or at line of scrimmage on short yardage situations. But he of course was electric once he broke past the LBs.

On paper offense is looking much bigger and faster! (LJ Johnson 40 time consistent 4.4, best 4.37) FAST, with lateral movement. Now if the OL performs, Harsin/Rolovich coaching is going to look really good this Fall.

Oh yeah and with our new center Harley Davidson it's definitely time to roll! ;-)

We’ll probably have a running back by committee strategy with the goal of grinding out 2-3 yards a carry.

Solid to hopefully support a good passing attack (do we still have that good QB prospect?).
