I agree it's best to try to get the rivalry games in.

But I don't understand the logic of geographically closer games being less risky. How much safer is a one hour charter flight with your teammates compared to a two hour flight? Seems it would be safer instead to avoid cities with high infection rates (Phoenix, Tucson, LA for example).

I'll take a guaranteed (yah I'm that confident) early win over furd any day, we could use the extra swag to take more of their top recruits! Muahahahaahaaaaaaa

I'm pretty sure, based on the Baseball example that only a couple weeks of games will happen before there is an outbreak that causes lots of cancellations. So, I am also in favor of moving the important games up.

Seems like a good idea to get in a few memorable games (and the rivalry games) early in the season before there is the likelihood of cancellation. It would be so Cal if we start 4-0 only to have the season end, scuttling perhaps our best chance to play in a Rose Bowl in my lifetime. Rose Bowl before I die Bears.

In your prescribed scenario, I take it we are de facto conference co-champions then, are we not?

Not sure. I just remembered that UCLA will probably be the Joe Roth game? If so, we will wear the awful throwback unis and get annihilated.
