Cal Men's Basketball Announce Home and Away Conference Opponents
The Golden Bears are slated for home and homes with Stanford and NC State
Cal MBB has announced their ACC home and away opponents for the 2026 season. The 2025-2026 season will be coach Mark Madsen’s fourth with the Golden Bears, following a productive 22-12 overall record in 2025-2026 where Cal was .500 in conference play. Notably absent from this year’s schedule is Georgia Tech, who Cal played twice lsat year (and swept). GT has been replaced by a home-and-home against theNorth Carolina State Wolfpack.
It’s an inverse schedule from last year, with ACC perennials Duke and UNC being road opponents. Cal’s marquee home conference games at this point are against the ascending Miami Hurricanes and Wake Forest Deacons.

Nice! Thanks Jesse!
Can they get to 10 wins in ACC is the question - that’s a safe enough benchmark in years past for the play-in game for the Dance, NCAAT expansion notwithstanding.
Bad news: Just a brutal road slate.
At first glance in May, on paper, Duke, L’ville, UNC, Clemson and SMU are all most likely L’s. Can they go 3-1 at Furd, NCSU, Pitt and ND? Whew, could be tough.
Home is manageable - if they’re gonna Dance, gotta go at least 7-2 - maybe drop UVA and Miami? NC State without Will Wade is maybe a bit more winnable but the 2 v a soft GaTech last year was nice.
Go Basketball Bears!
