That one was winnable many times over. Sigh.

Nice to see some Bears here at Tech. Wilkinson’s family and friends turned out big too.

Poor Bears. That’s gotta hurt.

Omot injury has hurt. They’re still a couple of impact pieces away from postseason contention, but definitely on the right track.

Madsen needs to add some more ACC-caliber talent, especially at the guard position. Seems like each game, one of either Blacksher or Campbell are complete no-shows, and poor Tucker really hasn’t shown he’s up for this level. All three seem like great teammates tho.

In the absence of more efficient play, after Stoja and Wilkinson, this roster just isn’t good enough to win these types of games on the road in this conference….yet. But Madsen is definitely putting the program on the right trajectory! HUGE offseason tho. Gotta replenish the CALegends MBB coffers!!!

Hate that play call. Wilkinson 1 on 4 into the paint. Brutal.

Managed to get a decent look despite that. But was hoping he had an option to dish to Andrej when Andrej came to screen.

I dunno - seemed tough…it was a contested runner in traffic…would have loved a kick out for an open look.

Not resume wise, but a bad loss. Winnable game. Sigh.

Blacksher gave them so little tonight. Need more from your 5th year PG.

I don’t think he was feeling 100% - he was over on the bike for long stretches of the game.

Probably not full strength.

But there have been some other rough games v P5 competition for him, Campbell (not today, but that travel in OT with under a minute was a total dagger) and Tucker…if Cal is gonna start contending for post season berths in the next few seasons, IMO that’s a place they need to get better and more consistent play from, both offensively and defensively.

And Cal needs a real scoring threat at post. Good rebounding guys there now but no real go to players for scoring moves.

Agreed Geoff. I think Fardaws on this squad woulda been effective.

I keep going back to that UVSU team Madsen had…a legit 7’ beast anchoring the paint in Bandaogo and Woodbury/Harmon in the backcourt, both of whom could score and dish it out like.

His teams in Berkeley are too much 1-on-1 ISO and don’t share the basketball consistently. They did today, and almost got one of their best W’s of the year.

Really love Rytis's hustle. And he's becoming a better scorer too.

Classic Cal. At least Andrej looks back to 100%. That one two punch with Wilkinson is real

Be great to keep them around another year, along with Rytis.

don't understand allowing them teh last shot. Better to foul early, put them on the line, and have 15+ seconds to tie/win/.

Hope Wilkinson just has a cramp. Loved that Campbell to Sissoko lob after, though.
