Louisville's defense was stifling. Really tight Man toMan. Cal's was soft and using so much Zone gave repeated chances at open 3's for Louisville.

We looked kinda good then looked very bad.

Wild to think Louisville was as bad (4-28) as we were in Fox’s last year and are 24-6 two years later.

BJ Omot was a major loss. JoJ is out now. Askew and Larsen have not sniffed the court. Their two incoming guards look promising. But they need that inside scoring threat.

Hate to say it, but this season was a step backwards for Madsen and the crew.

Yeah, this team has not improved at all. Andrej has not looked remotely like the same player before he got sick/injured.

it coulda been a step forward if Blackshur would have panned out, but too short to be effective against the bigger and longer P4 defenders.

With no 3 pt shooters, the team is easy to defend.

His best games have been against mid-major competition.

Absent above-average efficiency on both ends, solid fundamentals and execution, none of which either Madsen-coached teams in Berkeley have really featured, it’s simply too tough to compete against Power 5 players with guys from GCU, WCU, & UTSA. Puts too much pressure on AS and JW, neither of whom are consistent enough yet to go full-on Jaylon Tyson.

Would have loved to have seen last years roster with this year’s depth tho…

Maybe the depth at the start of the season…that’s their issue now. They have no depth and size.
