Don't know him but have faith in Madsen to choose the right guys. Go Bears!

And it feels good to finally feel like it's OK to have some faith

Well I guess I can finally stop Googling Cal Basketball everyday in anticipation of the final scholarship. Seems like a great get, as we needed a 4/PF type. Go Bears! Great job Mad Dog.

Cool! In Madsen we trust. Hope the team can gel earlier this year.

Thanks TD. Love this add. Have been hoping he was the final commit for awhile now…

Why is that? What more can you add behind this sentiment?

He’s got some size and can shoot. He was a solid recruit out of HS, and is a bit of an unknown because he redshirted last year. He may turn out to be a project, or enter the portal next year, or simply not be a D1 player….but for a back-end-of-the-rotation guy for the final scholarship, in nearly July, it’s a solid enough pick up.

So the phenom (can’t recall name) from a week or two ago who had us on his short list went elsewhere?

If you are referring to Isiah Harwell, he is a 2025 recruit and not in this cycle. At present, I believe he is planning a September decision.

Is Monty Bowser just shit out of luck at this point?

Maestro's avatar

He signed with No AZ a few weeks ago.

Jimmy Chitwood's avatar

That’s a good fit for Monty & Flagstaff is a cool town.

mrjpark's avatar

Oh, that's not on the recruiting platforms yet but I guess they care less about those schools.

JP90's avatar

Bowser is gone isn't he?

mrjpark's avatar

He was in the transfer portal but the platforms I saw didn't have a destination school yet. Didn't see that he had already found a landing spot.

Oskidunker's avatar

He is a 20% three point shooter.

The new Wsu transfer mentioned here

Where, in high school? Such a small sample size…he can shoot well enough for a big.

Is he athletic enough to guard anyone at this level is a bigger question.

Stanfurdstinks's avatar

I saw 19--3--3 with 36% from three (in 22-23) season. There was an article that mentions a stretch where he a low percentage but there was a context.

Jimmy Chitwood's avatar

Agreed. He shot 23% in a 13-game EYBL summer session.
