Cal Men's Basketball G Dai Dai Ames Plans to Enter the Transfer Portal and Test NBA Draft Process
A tough loss for Mark Madsen's group
With the college basketball season coming to a close, roster decisions are already taking shape for next year.
Per his agency and On3, Cal’s leading scorer Dai Dai Ames plans to enter the transfer portal after one season in Berkeley while also heading into the NBA Draft process.
Ames averaged 16.9 ppg, 2.2 apg on 46.4% shooting from the floor and 37.6% from three point range. He was the teams leading scorer and earned All-ACC Third Team for his performance this season.
This will be Ames’ third transfer in three years, after stops at Kansas State and Virginia if he stays at the college level but elects to go elsewhere.
He had previously declared after the Bears loss to Saint Joseph’s in the NIT that “I believe I should be here next year.”
Cal will immediately need to fill a big scoring gap if Ames doesn’t return to the Bay Area next season.

Dude.... come on. I've been saying DaiDai$$$ but I did not actually mean DaiDai$$$. Geez.
4 schools in 4 years.
Rather laughable.
