Sophomore Guard Jarred Hyder was denied a transfer waiver to play this upcoming season by the NCAA, according to Jeff Goodman. The 6-foot-3 guard originally committed to Fresno State and played his freshman season there. He averaged 9.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 26 appearances. He started 24 of those games and averaged about 31.9 minutes per game. Hyder also had a few 20-point performances, including a 23-point performance against 13th ranked San Diego State. He shot 30.2% from beyond the arc on 96 attempts and 83.3% from the line on 54 attempts.
This might not be the worse thing in the world. This hoops season (like football) is looking like it might be a throw-away. So, if we have to lose him for a year, this would be it. Then, when this pandemic mess is all over, we get him back for 3 solid years. Hang in there Jared!
