Cal Men’s Basketball Guard Justin Pippen to enter the transfer portal
Bears lose their starting backcourt in a single day
After losing guard DaiDai Ames earlier in the day, the Bears lost his running mate in Justin Pippen to the transfer portal as well.
The former 4-star recruit started his career at Michigan before transferring to Cal last year. He averaged a career high 14.2 PPG, 3.9 RPG, and 4.6 APG this year for the Bears. Also landed 4th on the single season steals ranking in Cal Men’s Basketball history.
We wish nothing but the best for Justin in his basketball future and thank him for his time in Berkeley.
Disgusted! I feel sorry for Coach Madsen trying to keep players from leaving Cal. He has to recruit more players to replace the departing players and teach them everything all over again. Big setback for him. Grrrr
