Early this morning, Mark Madsen received another transfer commitment in Portland Pilots guard Mike Meadows. Meadows initially transferred from Portland to Loyola Marymount, but decommitted from LMU recently. Enter Cal stage left.
Meadows was limited to 21 games for the Pilots this past season, starting 12 of them. He was mainly in a sixth man microwave role for Portland, usually closing the game for Shantay Legans in the WCC. Meadows had a career high 39 points vs Santa Clara this past season (yes this was agonizing to watch for those of you who know me). He averaged 11 points per game on 45.7% shooting from the floor and 35.9% from three point range on three attempts per game.
Welcome to Berkeley, Mike!
Anyone who can score 39 points against decent opposition is a good pickup.
Welcome to the MadBear family young man! You are joining a center who will draw double teams and feed you for open shots.
