The California Golden Bears (7-14, 2-12 Pac-12) rallied in the second half but could not overcome their arch-rival, Stanford Cardinal (12-7, 8-5 Pac-12), dropping a Sunday night decision, 70-76.
While California improved from its Thursday 55-70 shellacking against Stanford, the result was never in doubt for the Peninsula team. The Cardinal's advantage was as high as 19 points after the halftime break.
Stanford senior forward Oscar da Silva, the Pac-12 Conference scoring leader, continued his winning way. He put a game-high 23 points, connecting on nine out of 15 field-goal attempts.
The Golden Bears scored five of their last six field-goal attempts of the game, including three-pointers from Grant Anticevich and Jarred Hyder, to close the gap. California also held Stanford to a scoring drought in the last 2 minutes and 31 seconds.
Four Golden Bears scored double-digits: Matt Bradley put in another team-high performance with 15 points. Hyder added 13 points, and Ryan Betley and Joel Brown contributed 12 points each.
Our guys really lack that subtle shooters touch in the paint. It is all of these "easy," up-close baskets that we whiff...that other teams make. If I were Fox I would have them shoot 4 footers for 4 days straight.
Petition to hire me as Offensive assistant coach.

Can we fire everyone, hire Jason Kidd, and then get back relevant?
**Narrator** They didn't.
better than first game ... more players contributed, but Matt didn't have the all world game as in the first match up
