They kept alluding to Matt potentially going pro. On one had I hate because he’s our best player. On the other hand, him staying another year with this team and staff won’t help his prospects at all. Hope he does what’s best for him.
At best, he’s a second rounder and I’m skeptical of even that. But if there’s any chance he can get in the G League, he should. Even if he has a good year next year, he could slide just based on age.
I mean bias for me thinks he should be an early second rounder but the point still stands haha. The crux of the argument is what does another season at Cal or another college do for him unless he’s a starter for a high tournament team? My personal opinion would be for him to go pro. I think he has the skill set in the modern NBA to ATLEAST get a 2-way contract.
