I actually think Jaime Jaquez Jr. is their best overall player, despite Juzang getting all the press

the issue with this game for us, is we lost even though we did a great defensive job on Juzang

we will not be so fortunate in LA. could get ugly early

I’d say Jaquez is defn their most important and irreplaceable player. But their best player right now has to be Juzang with his hot scoring. No one else on that team has Jaquez’s skill set.

They’re really frigging good. Tyger Campbell is the glue...so underrated.

If Jules Bernard is hitting shots consistently in March, they’re very possibly cutting the nets down in NOLA...

Our best hope is a trap game, but that's tough on the road

Louisville just parted ways with Chris Mack, now there's a head coach we can bring in for next year. Also, we have no chance in hell of winning at either of the LA schools.

Dunno. I like his coaching pedigree but if there’s red flags with how he handled off the court issues then I doubt we’ll even call.

Not seeing it....there’s zero connection whatsoever...no reason for Mack to even take a call from Knowlton, who clearly doesn’t mind empty stadiums so long as the revenue sports teams avoid headlines.

Can’t imagine any Coach worth his salt wants anything to do with Cal hoops, tho...it’s not a good job in it’s present condition...one of the reasons why Fox is in town.

Rob, do we really think Knowlton would move off of Fox before 2024?

If We end the same as two years ago and the season ticket sales plummet which is something I expect with the results this season… then yeah. It’s a fairly small buy out. Question is do we have the money to buy him out? I think so. Or Atleast I’d hope there are some donors that are unhappy at the direction of the program the last three years and are willing to invest.

Yes, it is really tough to see Haas so empty.

I think there actually is sign of progress in year 3, but the conference got better as well, so the W/L record may not reflect it.

ucla thrashed az ... surprised their effective FG is not higher

We could play each of these LA teams 20 times each and I'm not sure we'd win once.

UCLA seems like they're perfectly capable of Milton Berle-ing it every night.

Not sure I can interpret that, though I am indeed old enough to know who Milton Berle is.

From Urban Dictionary, in reference to Berle's apparently massive, ahem, endowment....

Milton Berle

To pull out just enough to win a game and/or bet. It is said that whenever someone wanted to bet Milton Berle that they had a bigger penis, Milton always accepted the challenge. He never lost a bet. Not only that, he never pulled his entire penis out. He only pulled out enough to win.

Ahhh, I'd heard that rumor about Berle. Maybe he's hiding Jerry Lewis's The Day the Clown Cried in his pants too. Well, hopefully fUCLA can keep it in their shorts.

Again, they'll likely keep it close...UCLA will play our style, and ugly it up.

Best hope is Bears maybe cover the number. Spread is 16.5...Cal can cover.

yeah, they outclass us and as for ucla, too well coached on both ends of the court to sneak in a win (unlike prior to cronin days, where there was a good chance they would sleep walk on defense and give us a shot at an upset)
