The Bears are hosting Stanford as Senior Night of the 2021/2022 season. Grant Anticevich, Makale Foreman, and Jordan Shepherd will be saying their goodbyes to the Haas Pavilion faithful. The question will be on whether Andre Kelly will be walking with his fellow teammates, as he is a senior but is able to return due to the Covid waiver granted to all players from last season. (He has held talks with HC Mark Fox about his future according to Fox, including coming back next season). The Cardinal come into Berkeley also on a 2-game losing streak like the Bears, after being swept by the mountain schools. The players to look out for remain the same with Harrison Ingram and Jaiden Delaire being the main offensive leaders for this middling Stanford team. SG Spencer Jones caught fire from behind the arc early on in the month of February, but struggled the last week against Utah and Colorado, shooting a combined 2/12 from 3. The Bears will need to lock up the perimeter and PnR game. Expect the Bears to play a bit more small ball with the lack of a post threat by Jerod Haaseās men as well.
Make sure to check out the recap from the Bearsā last game against Utah.
Calās Win Probability and Score according to KenPom:Ā 54% (65-64 Win)
I saw a tweet with Logan Alters as a senior. He's a junior basketball-wise, but perhaps can graduate early. He has very few minutes of PT in his 3 years, so maybe he grad transfers to a smaller school where he can get more PT
Always tough to see the seniors leave, especially Kelly (I heard he's walking with the seniors as I expected) and Grant for me
Hopefully Grant, Shepherd and Foreman go off in their senior send off taking out rival stanford. Now that would be sweet
