How the hell do you even entertain extending him? That is ridiculous...he’s got 2 years left on his deal.
I understand giving him a 4th year, even tho I don’t agree....but an extension? Pshaw...haven’t been to a game in 5 years and don’t see any reason to go now.
I would strongly encourage you to write Knowlton in a respectful, logical manner. I wrote him yesterday. Got a response that everything will be evaluated after the year, followed by excuses for Fox--the pandemic. My guess is that he'll give him another year, but minus an extension. But I think there's such apathy and inertia around the program that he actually needs to hear that there are folks out there that care.
I will...I hope you do not doubt my ability to be dispassionate ;-). As a former MBB season ticket holder and donor, I now do neither...which is difficult.
Last letter I wrote was to the Chronicle Letters to the Green after Kasser kept Braun when Ann Arbor came calling in ‘97.
Right there with you. I still throw a few bucks at Cal Athletics each year, but I mentioned that I gave up tickets five years ago partly out of protest, but also self-preservation. It's too hard to go to that place and not lament what once was. I think what is really short-sighted is that they are losing out on a whole generation of students and young people who are not likely to mature and give back to the program later on, cause they don't have any positive memories of the program. for most, Cal mens basketball doesn't even exist.
I worry less about football. Even though we are solidly mediocre, there is support and interest--both from fans and our athletic department. Plus, our games are televised outside the Pac-12 network every now and again. Cal MBB almost exists in a total vacuum.
Nice little halftime interview with Eddie House talking about his 61 point game against Cal. Showed a graphic of where the players are now. Did not know RFK is a Nets assistant.
I remember seeing that explosion live...yikes, no answer. Also saw Tom Chambers go for 62 @ the Arena v the W’s...the two most impressive displays I’ve ever seen on a basketball court.
Ugly
Sad
44 ppg past two...62 combined in last 3 halves.
Embarrassing. Knowlton re-ups Fox he’s gonna lose the fan base.
Ugh, that was disappointing.
Mark Fox=No Hope

Bobby Hurley annoys me.
