That's important...while I agree that Grant and Shepherd give this team a better chance to win now, they're just not good enough v. the top teams in the conference so get minutes for the young guys that that will be here next year!
Great tools. He's got the size and body to be an impact wing. If he continues to develop a mid-range jumper and the ability to put the ball on the deck...look out.
Pencil UCLA in for a deep run in your tourney, folks....this team is loaded.
This game was not competitive, despite missing their best player...their defense is amazing....very few easy shots
Agree. Cal played well offensively, until the game was clearly over, and even then we were down 14 points. Turnovers did hurt us.
But sometimes you just have to tip your hat
Watching UCLA execute their half court defense is so impressive. They're at another level discipline wise.
Well that was an illegal screen on their walk on’s 3, so there’s that!
Offsets 2 on Kelly in 1H that went uncalled.
Hyder smh....what's his role next year?
Transfer back to Mountain West?
I was so excited when they signed him....a guy that averaged nearly 10 a game as a FR?
I don't wanna be too hard on him, but just not seeing it....
Roberson!
That was a really nice play. The acceleration with the ball was impressive.
In the losing cause, I appreciate how Fox is obviously trying to get everyone expanded PT this game.
That's important...while I agree that Grant and Shepherd give this team a better chance to win now, they're just not good enough v. the top teams in the conference so get minutes for the young guys that that will be here next year!
Roberson doesn’t look like a shooter
No. If he can handle the ball tho, he'll probably be in the rotation consistently....
EVERYTHING is short...front iron...man
Cal still shooting 53% including 33% from 3
I love getting Alajiki, Kuany and Celestine on the court together, getting minutes v an elite team.
Great experience.
The UCLA offense is pretty to watch. Just all the little curls and backcuts to get open looks.
Helps when you have 5 shooters on the court
Good shooters at that.
Nice pass by Grant!
Uncalled illegal screen by Andre, but I'll take the nice finish from Kuany.
Shows some wow plays...he's starting to figure it out a little.
cal still shooting 50%, including 56% from 3, and 2-2 FT
down 13
we need to reduce turnovers
new Cal practice facility??!!?!!
Is this the same Kuany who usually just roams the perimeter? Nice dribble drive to get the foul.
cal shooting over 50% from the field and from 3
yet down 14!
Cal is doing well offensively, but ucla has so much firepower that the lead is 13
There's Kuany's potential.....
That's a tough to defend shot. He's so long an that release.
These kids got a pass for COVID 2020, no? So Kuany, while a junior, still has 2 years of eligibility remaining, I believe?
Anyone know?
I think you're correct. Thus...Charlie Moore playing this year in Miami.
Dude is with his 5th school, counting his Memphis LOI
Nice take by Joel
Then just an awful shot.
Alot of hands-on defense going both ways. I hope the refs are consistent at this the whole game.
I think this crew did SDSU/Utah St last night....they let them bang in 1H at least.
I do not like Foreman at point. He needs offball action.
UCLA is incredibly tough to beat if Jules Bernard is hitting shots....so good.
They're going to be so solid if full strength in March.
I like bringing Grant off the bench...Alajiki should be starting and getting more minutes.
Factual statement...I have my Sam Alajiki lunchbox and thermos.....
Sam Alajiki = future All Pac-12 player
Cal starting off hot on offense. Sam with two treys!
Great tools. He's got the size and body to be an impact wing. If he continues to develop a mid-range jumper and the ability to put the ball on the deck...look out.
Juzang out.
