I kind of blame the refs on the loss, so don't feel too bad about this one. A lot of weird calls to start and end the game. Losing Wilkinson that early in the second half was devastating, I was really worried we'd get trounced in the ACC despite a strong rebuild by Madsen, but I feel like we can be competitive at the very least now.
Just watched the game on delay. Tough to squander an 18 point lead like that no matter against who, where, or under what the circumstances. But I told myself if we could even just make this a game that is a sign this team can make some noise. Lots the team can learn from this one that can benefit us.
Felt like both. Throughout they got a lot of free looks but they also made a bunch of jump shots. Their center looked really bad but got 6 lucky points. The real issue I thought was the Cal offense going dry or turning the ball over which led to fast break points and momentum for Mizzou. Really got the crowd into the game.
Just clean up the D…that was a real solid effort, down two starters.
Would love to see Mady and Dort play a little better D in the low post…they constantly switched out to the high post with that oaf who was ZERO threat to shoot.
Having such undersized guards hurts us. Bigger guards have shown they can get into circle and break us down. Part of the reason we were having issues at the rim. SC was effective doing that for much of that game and so was Mizzou tonight. Mizzou didn’t even need to hit many threes tonight to get past 90.
I know Andrej filled the stat sheet, but he needs to work on protecting the ball better. He can be really sloppy at times.
A better 2H by Blacksher things are maybe a little different. Seemed he felt the absence a bit but all in all a real solid showing.
That last turnover by Blacksher was really bad. I guess we didn’t have a timeout?
He's also a bit of a black hole that tends to start out cold. Man needs to warm up more or something.
Nice to have Roxy cover so many of our games. Guy is such a pro.
Absolutely. The best.

Was Missouri's offense that good? Or was Cal's defense that deficient?

Yes, like Madsen has said, teams cannot stay in front of Wilkinson. And he can score at the rim. What a find!! It’s even more impressive in person.

I think it was Mady that let him shoot to open the game, and he nailed it. Probably over-adjusted.
Ugh! This team has potential and far better than recent past. But life as a Cal fan hurts sometimes. This game is one of those.
I like this team. Wilkinson is legit.
Like Cal football with the O, if we can figure out how to play even passable defense, the squad can make some noise.
Refs aside, they were able to lock down defensively and we couldn't get good looks. Tough loss. Might be one of those we'd win later in the season.
The biggest difference is they figured out how to lock down Blacksher and Wilkinson got fouled out on a pretty soft call.
Oof we Weber-ed it.
Good effort. Nothing you can do when the stripes take over.
Maybe adjust the style of your play to not take so many risks?
Allegri really calling out the officiating on radio broadcast
At least 3 critical, terrible calls in the last couple of minutes.
As he should. It’s egregious.
Refs swing this game to Mizzou. So dirty.
Sound like a lot of home cooking going on. Typical sec
The stripes are so obviously dictating the tempo it’s laughable.
Insanely soft foul
I thought Sissoko was a rim protector?
remember Butler last year - https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401581167
Getting home cooked by the stripes in Columbia too.
Egads.
Teams play physical with this team and they just fold. Gotta figure that out.

Ya, 22/26 in the 2H?
Couldn’t believe that stat. And they got to the line.
Honestly the fact we hung in there under those circumstances was a pretty good sign.
Big time. I felt like if we could just be competitive in this one . . .
SDSU in San Jose would be huge to grab.
