What should we make of Kyle Bonagura from ESPN predicting that we'll go to the Sun Bowl this year? It's worth noting that last year's UCLA Sun Bowl team had a 9-4 record. Is it time to start being optimistic?
Teams coming from cooler climes can apply more of their practice bandwidth to getting better and need less to survive the harsh high temps. Their bodies are probably less run down too.
If ND had even average QB play in the first half it might not have been as close either. Pyne appeared pretty rattled making his first start before calming down at halftime.
Can we bring pressure? For the last 2 seasons, Cal football has been an interesting experiment on how far a team can go with suboptimal offensive and defensive lines.
METINKS STRAWBERRY CANYON WILL NOT BE COMFORTABLE FOR THE MEAN GREEN. GO BEARS!!!
BEST, GERBEAR THIS WIN COULD BE AN OMEN FOR CAL TO CONTINUE TO DO MORE THAN THEY'VE DONE IN THE RECENT PAST. I'M STIILL HOPING FOR ANOTHER ROSE BOWL EPERIENCE AT AGE 94!!
Unfortunately, the game is not in Strawberry Canyon. It's in Denton, Texas and the game time temp will be 95 and progress to 101 during the game. I think this is a trap game. Who scheduled this game? Not good!
Unfortunately, for post-season play, the Rose Bowl is no longer the PAC12 versus the B!G10. Rather it is part of the new College Football Playoff system.
are we just gonna erase UNC twice, Ole Miss twice, TCU, BYU, and ND? every school plays atleast one game they think is winnable and its usually an FCS. then you play a G5 and hopefully one p5.
Somebody needs to do some 'splainin.'
What do the wise Bears make of this prognostication?

Sounds about right. Decent G5 team, away, brutal heat, first start for a new QB.
Give me Cal to cover; we win by 10. Easy Money
* by at least 10
Anyone need a few “visiting North Texas” tips or are y’all watching from home? Welcome to my hood.
Saturday temp forecast for Denton: 100°F.

Well that's no good...
Let's hope their practices at UC Davis last week helps with the heat tolerance
DOOM!
😂
Go!
Bears!
Didn’t know they’re starting a new QB.
We HAVE to bring the pressure.
Was at the Notre Dame game last year, and if we would have pressured their QB, we could have won that game. He did not look good in the beginning.
Instead, we played extremely conservative and let that QB get comfortable enough to manage the game.
ND OC Tommy Rees made fantastic adjustments last year - the incompetent Bill Musgrave did not.
ND’s O-line was the difference, though a bigger one was probably the phantom offsides call.
If ND had even average QB play in the first half it might not have been as close either. Pyne appeared pretty rattled making his first start before calming down at halftime.
yeah that was infuriating- their offense was reeling and we let them off the hook
More like the refs did

If we can’t bring the pressure against North Texas, then it will be a long season
We bettor win, that's all I have to say about that.

It;s the flip side of a home-home with NT.
Awesome GERBEAR.

Rosebowl still possible, though.
GO!
BEARS!
I hope we do well on the road trip!
Cal wins via mauling
