Cal at Notre Dame Football Photo & Video Essay
All the fun times. And then very not-so-fun times. But Cal nation was together for it all.

Cal fans were feeling good entering the stadium!
Cal visiting section was in the corner end zone. Not as bad as the Coliseum for sure, but there was a stupid flagpole just…there. Why?
Then the Bears entered the field!
Oski was also present.
Rob would later find Oski and make magic happen.
It is unclear how drunk Oski was, but he was very much into it.
Cal fans were loud and proud! The rumor was that Cal had sold out their allotment of 15,000 tickets, and the numbers in the stands seemed to back that up.
Notre Dame committed two false start penalties in a row as well! In their own house! The noise was startling!
Notre Dame fans did a chant. They were drowned out.
The Irish even flipped the field at the end of the 3rd quarter to avoid facing the roar of the sturdy Golden Bears!
Rob’s got some on-field stuff coming this week that’ll be more compiled, but here’s a tease of his gorgeous footage.
After more emotional devastation, Cal podcaster Andy had a tough time dealing with the ending.
But many of us have been here before, so we sent off our time in Notre Dame with a smile.
We want to thank again the dozens of Cal fans in Chicago and South Bend who recognized Nam, Nick (read his column!), Rob and my bear hat this week, and make it clear that we wouldn’t do this without your love, support, and sickness for making Golden Bear football a part of your life. Thank you again.
Hope you had a pleasant week in Chicago everyone, and hope everyone else at home got a taste for what it was like! And Go Bears!
Awesome pictures and video! Thank you so much for posting.
I'm just glad I got to ride on the infamous bus #2, and that we all survived.
The stadium was awesome.
