The depth becomes thinner.....for now

Late this week, Cal football received news that offensive lineman Jackson Brown would be entering the transfer portal. Brown, who hadn’t had a lot of playing time in his lone season with the Bears had broken through to get on the field last year vs USC. Alas, in this years spring practices, he wasn’t practicing with the starters and struggled to get into the two deep. Brown was a two time all CIF state selection and two time all North Coast Section (NCS) selection before his time with the Bears.
Brown will have four years of eligibility remaining for wherever he goes. We thank Jackson for his time here at Cal and I personally hope for the best for a Bay Area kid.
People stay just a little bit longer
We want to play, just a little bit longer
Now the promoter don't mind
And the union don't mind
If we take a little time
And we leave it all behind and sing
One more song
one could say the line is Running on Empty
