I think it's a matter of UW has higher rated recruits than Cal, so we'll go with them. It's not like Cal has crushed UW these last two years; both wins were really close games. Would love to see a third straight, but not betting on it.
Secondly, how can UCLA and USC be favored by that much with those "defenses", like cmon Iowa put up 49 and Jayden Daniels only gonna get better, UCLA lose their best player in Kelley and I get CU ain't good but really UCLA by 6??? Wazzu I ain't even gonna entertain that one is downright stupid, OSU on everything with the continuity they have with Coach Smith, only Utah and Oregon should realistically cover.
UW got a new coach, new rb, and whole reshuffle of coaches and they are a td favorite...yea aight, we only have to replace 2 safeties and an lb (easier said than done considering who they were obviously) and we return everyone on offense that was clicking with a better OC...like what.
The line is determined by the bets that are placed. In this case the vast majority of bettors are poorly informed...as they are every week when it comes to CAL.
Last year they had a 6'6" five star QB who transferred from Georgia and had to redshirt for a year while he was ineligible. He was drafted and is playing in the NFL. We tore his ass up. They have a new QB and a new head coach. Coach Lake is supposed to be a hell of a coach. They will be ready to play and our defense will probably be a cut below last years D with the loss of Weaver, Bequette (to Boston College) and Paul (sitting out). But I expect BIG things from our offense. Garbers will come into his own this year. I believe he actually has NFL talent. We'll find out with Musgrave as OC and QB coach. Our O-line is big, nasty, energetic and has depth for the first time since Wilcox has been head coach. Angus McClure brings a lot of energy and feisty-ness to the group. Our RB's are solid. Apparently the new kid walk-on with the huge high school numbers is impressing, and he supposedly is a speed burner. We have a solid returning receiving corp and we now have tight ends in our scheme and a fullback. Musgrave is going to have opposing DC's twisted up trying to scheme up a defense against us. Just adding tight ends that can block and catch brings us so many more options. Now try a two tight end set and add in a FB in I formation. I guarantee you Musgrave calls plays way different than Baldwin did. It should be a fun season. As a reminder, there is no such thing as a guaranteed win in the PAC12. We have to earn every one. But if we stay serious and work every week, we have the talent and the coaches to deliver an undefeated season. ;-)
What the hell? We've beaten them twice in a row! We've owned them. They are coming to Berkeley. That has got to Frost Wilcox and Garbers and company. Go Bears! Let's see some injury cart reenactments.
All I can think of now is Sweet Polly Purebred.....
I’m fine being the Underdog in this one, and earning the favorite spot with wins. I bet everyone is expecting UW to be seeking revenge, maybe playing into the spread. I wonder what “points” we get for being at home, but w no fans? They still have to travel, but no crowd noise..... would be a good year to be playing AT UO......

On the other hand, they no longer have Petersen to coach them out of wins.
wow, Wazzu only -3 @OSU. The post Leach era is going to be interesting
I am pounding OSU there...Wazzu stinks for 3 seasons
Who knew the absence of Weaver would factor so heavily for the odds makers!
I’m excited for Cam Goode’s ceiling. SUPER athletic, hard hitter..... with more opportunity without Weaver playing first fiddle.

Good point...hmmm, my gut tells me we have over performed again the spread recently, but I wonder if that is my heart talking...

Shoutout to the oddsmakers, they know we like to play against UW with a chip on the shoulder...
"For the culture!"

Go Bears!
Wondering if crowd noise will be simulated or piped in? Turn it up to 120 decibels!
Stay under the radar...
Joke. We’ve already shown what we can beat UW in an empty stadium
now to see if we can do it at hours normal human beings would be awake at
One of the best nights of my life...texting with my son early into the morning
