Cal fans: Be wary of this schedule. OSU may be "wounded" but they play great defense and they just landed a four star wideout and I expect them to keep playing the same kind of football (rock-solid defense, grind-it-out running game) that has given us so many problems in the past. . SDSU has historically played Cal very tough and Auburn has reloaded via recruiting (currently has the #8 ranked class) and don't forget, they almost beat Alabama. Next year's schedule may prove to be just as brutal as this year's schedule since we have to play Miami and FSU, which are hardly slouch teams. Football gods, pray for us.
Yeah next year will be pretty tough and not too far of from this year, but '25 should be a relative cake walk provided our talent stays intact and on a slightly upward trend. Anything can happen of course.
But then we’d have to go back east the following year.
Part of the goal scheduling OSU is to minimize our non-conference travel since we’ll be heading to TX or the east coast about 4 times a year already, plus some already-scheduled non-cons against Auburn and Florida.
That assumes home-and-home, but fair point. I guess the ACC wants 2 p5 opponents to balance out all the teams who play ND, but if we had a choice, I'd say go with the creamiest and puffiest of creampuffs and ensure a bowl game. OSU is not that team.
I hope that FSU game is scheduled a little deeper into the schedule so that I can make both that and the Auburn game. I know the OSU game was not advised by the ACC commish, but I'm glad we're doing it anyways.

Idiocy. I'm sure Vanderbilt or Indiana or whoever would welcome a trip out west.

Maybe should’ve gone with Wazzu
Hurray! The even year seven-game home schedule is preserved.

Let’s meet up at Auburn
Sure. I'll be rolling with my mom and her side of the family, all AU loving alums. But I'll be flinging used toilet paper on those trees.
Just don’t poison the tree..uh, more or again.
"Cal will host the Beavers in CORVALLIS on September 28. The Bears will then make a return trip to Corvallis on August 30, 2025."
I think you meant to say Berkeley. Otherwise, the Beavers are getting two home games back-to-back.
Thanks for catching, updated!
You're welcome. Proofreading is in my blood. lol. Happy New Year!!
Pretty sure it was a "typo".
Getting OSU at the right time / cycle. Almost feel sorry for them…almost.
Also, great home schedule next year balanced by a brutal away slate.
Need to rack up some early wins to keep our heads above water.
It sure looks easier than the last season which was "brutal".
