Cal Receives One Top 25 Preseason Vote In The Coaches Poll

Let the preseason hype begin.
The California Golden Bears have received a vote of supreme confidence. One coach’s intern is getting on the ground floor and putting their stake in Cal making some big noise in 2026.
Here is the full Coaches Poll Top 25. #7 Miami sits as the top ACC team; Cal will avoid them for at least this season.
Cal will face the other two top 25 teams in the conference this year: Friday night in Week 4, Cal will host #23 Clemson. On October 24, Cal plays at #20 SMU.
Cal will face five other teams that received votes this year: at #32 Virginia on November 14, at #38 UNLV on October 3, at #39 NC State on October 31, #41 Virginia Tech on October 17, and #47 Pitt on November 28.
It’s a more robust schedule for Cal this year—they’ll be tested nearly every week. If we produce properly, we’ll know we have a good team on our hands.
Well, how nice. It all begins on Sep. 5th. Beat ucla and play a COMPLETE game (notice I did not say mistake free), then we’ll know a bit more about this years' Bears. Roll on!
