Hard to hear it exactly, but is sounds like one of the SMC players did a Mike Tyson and bit one of the Cal players.

Plenty of mistakes by Cal in the 1st half. The boys will need to clean it up, too many penalties. SMC's backs are playing a good game and putting lots of pressure on the defense. Will be an epic battle in the second half.

Sorry fans, but SMC will bring home that second win just like last year.

Not. It was a great game. SMC is a quality side.

I'm thinking of Univ of British Columbia for something like the so-called World Cup (I forget the exact real name) which is a traditional home and home each year... and UBC cancelled temporarily because moving in/out of Canada in these days of COVID is still problematic. If you're thinking of something else then apologies for being irrelevant.

The nature of those matches have changed over the years. It used to be pretty even and it's called the "World Cup" because the Vancouver Daily World newspaper sponsored the rivalry. But outside of Cal, most of UBC's other foes are all semi-pro teams. So they have also added a bunch of former pro to their squad.

In recent years (pre-COVID), Cal will play their A-team vs UBC in Berkeley but only send the reserve team (or just the underclassmen team, I do think there is a distinction) to Vancouver. The trophy is still given to the team with the best overall point differential over the two legs, but I think UBC plays fewer of their really old guys for the leg in Vancouver.
