I don’t have an issue with him leaving. I get it that you gotta get your bag that’s in hand but the laughing at us while there is a mass exodus of the RB room is bullshit. Adding insult to injury. He doesn’t give a shit about CAL. He is just looking out for himself. I would have told this punk to go kick rocks. He was just using us to get a mulligan on his shit performance
Man, we were all dumb when we were 20. At least he didn't pull a Mendoza. And even then, I'm assuming Mendoza just acted like what he was -- a child still growing up. We all like to act like 18 makes you an adult, but let's be real.
Ott got his degree, transferred to a school that should have optimized his bag and his draft selection, and his one problem was a questionable tweet.
It is true that they care more about football in Oklahoma than at Cal...but he sort of implied it was the TEAM that did not care at much as Cal, which was sort of a low blow.
Ott had injury issues. For us, it was good he went to Oklahoma.
I also wonder how getting paid like this in college affects your hunger. Before, it was NFL or bust, but now you got kids getting bags out of high school. That's got to affect your drive a bit.
I honestly don't doubt that they did. I didn't look at our team and think that they legitimately wanted to win even the ACC. A problem with our transfer strategy seems to be we found all the old blue chips who realized they wouldn't make it the NFL and wanted a good place to finish out college. The number of times they came out lackluster, no motivation. How do we give up 34-0 runs three times in one season?
Ok, please no hate. I believe Jadyn is a fantastic person, has amazing talent, a big heartt and big upside. In his last year at CMS he got smashed and swallowed up at the line or backfield on almost every run. The OL talent and coaching was just that bad. I fully understand why he left the poorly-run Cal football program, as as ALL the Offensive backfield walked last year after spring practice (not just Jadyn). While I'm at it, also nothing but love for Nando - he was facing the prospect of the third OC in three years at Cal and bailed for a better AND much more stable opportunity. Looking for massive changes in attitude and fortitude in 2026, GO BEARS!

Hope he sets a good example for future bears
Because of the no hate rule, I will refrain from saying anything.
