Cal Safety Daniel Scott accepts invite to NFL Combine
The lone Golden Bear to date that will be in Indy
After a stellar Senior Bowl performance in both the practices and game, Daniel Scott was invited to take part in the NFL combine. Scott has since accepted his invite and will be working out alongside hundreds of other prospects.
Scott had 2 interceptions during Senior Bowl practice week, picking off Fresno State QB Jake Haener and BYU QB Jaren Hall. Scottās a ballhawk but we all knew that already. He was close to a third one in the game itself, with the ball just a bit too far out in front to let him get his second foot down inbounds.
During Scottās career as a Golden Bear he amassed 7 interceptions, 2 of which came during the Big Game and another that went to the house when Cal visited TCU. During the 2022 season, Scott became more of a vocal leader and was unquestionably the leader of the secondary. He was the stabilizer with a rotating door of injuries to others, and a career high 4 PBUās from his safety spot.
Scott will arrive in Indianapolis in the late days of February and is scheduled to do his on field workouts on Friday, March 3rd. His workouts can be seen live on NFL Network and he will most definitely have all of the Cal family behind him as he chases his NFL dream.
Best of luck to Daniel and we wish him all the best!
Scott plays for "Cal State" on that first video. Ugh.
Good luck to Daniel. The last of the original "Takers" I believe, or maybe it was Takers 2.0.
