I’m super eager for Cal to hit 3-0 heading into their ACC debut against FSU, which I CAN’T stand (bc of their arrogance, their lawsuit and the “no” vote for ACC admission). Glad to see FSU go down to GT, BC and would LOVE to keep them in the ACC cellar at 0-3 after Cal smacks them down in Tallahassee.

Trap game......."be ready when your number is called"

remember that we lost to Arizona in 2021 and Colorado in 2022.

Assume nothing

Ugghh...sad but true. Hopefully the home crowd will keep the Bears' focus. I'm flying down for the game and sitting in TT

Department of Who Gives a Crap says:

it was Qualcomm Stadium in 2016, and leveled a couple years later and replaced by the current structure, and named for Qualcomm's Snapdragon product.

DOOOM!

Don't buy it, Bears.

Always prep for the worst case scenarios.

The line has now moved to California -19.5 and an o/u of 49.5.

Goff is the only Cal guy I saw this weekend to say "Cal" as his school.

Greg's avatar

If Cal beats FSU to go 4-0, I wonder if we'd see more "Cal" confirmations...

GoldenSD81's avatar

Rodgers is more likely to say Prager University than Cal at this point in his life.

Power to him. He's an independent, critical thinker.

The very goal of education.

"Question authority."

Just because he says, about himself, that he’s a critical thinker, it does not make him good at it

And he was rewarded with a win in OT tonight and did a favor to the rest of the NFC West.

I am looking forward to a raucous Memorial Stadium on Saturday night. Go Bears!

I really want to be 3-0 heading into FSU, but this could definitely be a trap game. Need to go in and take care of business.

GlueAndBold's avatar

Might be closer than the spread, but that's an easy Under if I've ever seen one

Bowlesman 80's avatar

Yes, our offense is good, but, still, inconsistent.

GoldenSD81's avatar

SDSUs offense is terrible. Much worse than UC Davis and Auburn.

Toohandy's avatar

We'll get better when all our O linemen get healthy. Last week we played with 4 non starters including a 3rd string center.

Macarolina's avatar

With FSU following weekend, we won’t be wanting to show too much of our offense if not necessary. Really hoping not necessary!

Oskidunker's avatar

Terrible qb. We will win big, even without Ott.

Blondiesandtopdog's avatar

We are not good enough to think this way and win

Even good programs overlook their opponents at their peril.

Having said that, a 3-0 start would be pretty amazing!

Bowlesman 80's avatar

Totally agree.

The path to Doom is paved with confidence.

100%. See, e.g., ND/NIU fiasco.

Alex Ghenis's avatar

Caveat that we aren't ND, but also NIU is a top G5 program this year and SDSU is very much not...

AKBear's avatar

Go into the game remembering the disrespect from the studio shows this weekend.

I don't think we are beating the spread. We seem to turtle the second we get a lead. I think a good rule of thumb for this team is if there is a double digit spread, bet against it, whether it is for us or against us. We tend to win close and lose close. Also, take the under, always.

Toohandy's avatar

I hope the Bears aren't over confident. this definitely could be a "trap" game. Play hard guys. Play like this is another Auburn game and prove to the naysayers that you ARE a ranked team.

Rae Moulton's avatar

I am confident Cal will win. I would pick the Aztecs to cover though, as I believe this one will be a lowish scoring affair (i.e. take the under).

Brad (aka, RibI)'s avatar

my Aztecs look pretty bad, unfortunately. Should be a cakewalk for the Bears.
