Returning to California Memorial Stadium

After a long, winding road, Write For California descended on California Memorial Stadium for the Golden Bears eighth spring practice of the year. You may have seen Avi's log of Peter Sirmon’s media availability from this past Friday, but its now time to get some in person flavor. It’s been a steady back and forth between Fernando Mendoza and Chandler Rogers for the starting quarterback position, with both players getting ample opportunities throughout the prior sessions and today.

Early Scenarios

As I walked in, the team was going through their first competitive period and immediately S Miles Williams made a play nabbing an interception. The offense responded steadily to that mishap throughout the course of the day, with the wide receiver group in particular doing a solid job of getting open and using their leverage to find the soft spots in the zone and beating their assignment in man.
