Got a fistbump and a high five from Wilcox. A Picture and great conversation with Drayden and his father. Congratulated Cam Goode. Safe to say this game was full of memories for me.
Just back from the game and my Oski that was fun. Hadn't given them a real ass-whooping since '08. All the students who hadn't been coming to home games showed up today and were loud. Got to high five Wilcox after theme and get pics with a few players. Fabulous, wonderful, terrific, awesome day. Bear fans deserved it.
Watched Shaw’s press conference. He blamed himself for being too aggressive on 4th down in the red zone. I think we can expect the “punt on 4th and one from your opponent’s 35” decisions to make a comeback.
That was fun to watch. Was right behind the end zone so rode the wave onto the field. It's always nice to see the players hanging around. Saw Street and congratulated him. Super friendly dude. Mettauer found a fancy hat.
Awesome win. Anyone understand why players have to plead with the rally comm to get the axe? Legitimately curious, as it seems like a bizarre tradition for those who actually earned the win to have to do that
They're trying to protect it from being stolen. But I think it's hilarious that they wouldn't let our uniformed players hold it on the field, but Brett Johnson in street clothes broke through and was grabbing it for much longer.
I guess if my only complaint about yesterday was directed at Rally Comm's over-inflated sense of self-worth with regards to the Axe, that means everything else was all good.
Having Garbers is huge. But I'm scared what would happen if he goes down with injury. (Well no need to speculate because we know exactly what would happen)
I notice Cal Athletics no longer posts any locker room celebrations of "You know it..." as they used to. Wilcox must have decided those were internal, private moments. I miss them.
THIS Cal team beats Nevada & TCU by 2 TDs each...
True statement. Unfortunately it took the guys time to gel in the new offense and break in new starters on defense. Different Cal team now.
That's probably correct.
At this point I think we're clearly better than those two, Washington, and Arizona, maybe a hair better than Wazzu, and not much worse than Oregon.

IN YOUR ENDOWMENT, STANFURD
I could get used to this.

Well, they could have been down 14-9 at half if they just settled for field goals - bizarro Shaw was a surprising move.

That girl holding the Axe did a better job of blocking Cal than Stanford did.

Because it was.
Loved all the trick plays. Now UCLA has to prepare for all of them. Plus five more new trick plays next week.

Well, I called for Garbers running for 100 and throwing for 300. Sorry to lead you all astray. What a performance overall by him.

My frat brother's chant lives! lol
Great game. I also correctly predicted that Clark would score on a long TD play.
How about that! Woke up humming Big C this morning. I wonder why?
Go Bears!
